Recommended Care After Ceramic Coating
Proper aftercare maximizes the longevity and performance of your ceramic coating. Follow these guidelines to keep your vehicle looking its best for years.
Wait Before Washing
Avoid washing your vehicle for at least 7 days after coating application to allow full curing.
Use pH-Neutral Soap
Always wash with a pH-neutral, ceramic-safe car shampoo. Avoid dish soap or harsh detergents that can degrade the coating.
Hand Wash Only
Avoid automated car washes with brushes. Use the two-bucket hand wash method or a touchless wash for best results.
Dry Properly
Use a clean microfiber drying towel or filtered air blower. Avoid letting water air-dry to prevent water spots.
Avoid Abrasive Products
Do not use compound, polish, or any abrasive products on coated surfaces — they will remove the coating.
Apply a Ceramic Boost Spray
Use a SiO2 ceramic detail spray every 2–3 months to maintain hydrophobic properties and add an extra layer of protection.
Remove Contaminants Quickly
Bird droppings, tree sap, and bug splatter should be removed as soon as possible. These are acidic and can etch through the coating if left too long.
